The Kitara Update Software helps manage all aspects of your kitara. Firmware updates, sharing presets, backing up and registering your warranty are all possible with this software. It is available for PC and Mac.
Install the PC (Windows) versionWe have provided a preset pack with new sounds for you to load on your Kitara.
(For an example of how one of the presets sounds: Riverside.mp3)
To install the pack:
1. download the soundpack file: Download soundpack1.zip
2. extract/unzip the file to your PC - this will create a new directory with .mz files inside (.mz files are presets)
3. start the Kitara Update Software
4. press the "Presets" tab
5. press "Browse" and choose the unzipped folder holding the .mz files
6. press the "Restore Presets" tab, and "Ok" - the presets will transfer across to the kitara
